Hey welcome to my blog! My name is Randy, and I am the creator of this page. I am 29 years old, a husband to a beautiful wife and father to a wonderful 5-year-old son! I currently work as the sous chef for a private school where I get to create wonderful lunch experiences for children and faculty members on a daily basis. 

Since I began working in professional, fast paced kitchens over a decade ago, I became fascinated with cooking and grew a LOVE for food! I realized it is a good skill to know. Immediately, I focused on learning as much about cooking as possible 

I started at my local pizzeria as a dishwasher. I was in awe off all the things required to run a restaurant. The prepping, food handling, cleanliness, organization, all things I felt everyone should know and implement in their own lives.  I wanted to master the basics, so I can move forward and learn about technique. 

Cooking has sereval techniques which I have learned the hard way of actually going to different kitchens and learning the techniques practiced in every place. I’ve worked at pizzerias, a French Café, a fine dining Steakhouse, and finally the private school I am at now. Every place taught me something new and I’m excited to share them with you!
